CONTEXT

G Life Watches is an Australian independent retailer of genuine G Shock, Baby G, and Casio watches, with a full warranty from the official distributor. The company has been involved with watches in Australia for many years, and their connection with Casio goes back over thirty years. After successful outcomes with their previous two digital marketing channels, G Life Watches turned to email as their third channel, partnering with LION Digital.

WHAT WE DID

After thoroughly analysing G Life Watches’ business needs, conditions and potential offers, the LION Email team organised and launched a series of automated email and SMS flows. During planning, we set up the template style guide, segments, trigger events, preferences and unsubscribe pages, and regular list cleaning processes. According to the developed strategy, a list of flows was activated, including standard welcome, abandoned checkout, cart and browse, first and repeat purchase, win-back, and birthday. A Labor Day promo campaign within the content calendar was launched, and more campaigns with special offers and dedicated promos are planned.

RESULTS

After less than three months of the LION Email team’s hard work, the G Life Watches email channel achieved outstanding results in the year-on-year comparison. Website sessions from emails increased by 1130%, and the number of pages users saw per session increased by 109%. Proper segmentation and targeting resulted in a 408% increase in transactions from email and a 45% increase in the average order value. Consequently, revenue increased by 565%, raising the share of the email channel in the website revenue by 378%.
