CONTEXT
Rosendorff Diamonds engaged LION Digital after the Revenue & ROAS of their Google Ads accounts declined significantly over a relatively short period of time and the poor structure of the account was preventing them from spending their full ad budget. The decline was so significant that it was impacting their Total Revenue as Google Ads were a major source of new visitors.
How We Solved It
To address these issues, LION Digital conducted a comprehensive audit of the Google Ads account. The audit revealed multiple concerns, including the following:
- Multiple Primary Conversions Actions
- Weak Product Feed Health
- Campaigns were poorly optimised, targeting multiple conversion actions
- Ad Budget was allocated to underperforming products and products that had not converted in over 90/180 days.
LION Digital then commenced a thorough restructuring of the Ad Account, resolving the Conversion Tracking, fixing the Product Feed and building out campaigns based on LION Digital’s eCommerce Best Practices. A core component of LION Digital’s strategy was to implement Google Ads in a way that complemented the Organic channel so as not to cannibalise Organic traffic or Revenue.
RESULTS
Within a span of just 90 days, the account’s performance underwent a remarkable transformation. The ROAS doubled, indicating a significant improvement in ad campaign effectiveness. Paid revenue also experienced substantial growth, increasing by 86% and expanding from 14% to 26% of the total revenue.
Importantly, these achievements were attained without any negative impact on organic revenue or an increase in marketing spend.
